Remembering Pinetop
“I’ll never forget my good friend Pinetop Perkins. Criss crossing through Europe for ten weeks: France, Italy, Switzerland and Spain.
It was Chicago Blues at its prime: Me, Pinetop, Willie "Big Eyes" Smith, Calvin Jones and Melvin Taylor in the late 80’s. We had such a good time. Pinetop always made me laugh.
He nicknamed me Eddy “Dirty Waters”. Pinetop was such a tease!”
Remembering Pinetop Perkins (July 7, 1913 - March 21, 2011). Pinetop would have been 101 years old on July 7th.
