Thanks to everybody who came to celebrate my 79th Birthday As a special thank you, I've added two new SoundClouds Tracks:
The first is my Valentine's Day present to you...a song called: "Love Being Loved By You" from the Bullseye Blues Label in 1996. Enjoy!

We also added "Party At My House" from "Mean Case of The Blues" on the Bullseye Blues Label in 1996!

UPCOMING CONCERTS:

Eddy "The Chief" Clearwater, legendary blues guitarist and recording artist performs once again, back in Round Lake. Clearwater's first appearance in Round Lake was in 1965 at a club named, 'The Last Resort'. The club well known for young peoplebto come and rock n' roll was off limits to socializing with the young guitarist and singer due to the color of his skin. At first Eddy was not allowed to go and socialize with the audience because he was black. The band, Ed Bell and The Belairs were very progressive and brought in the young left handed guitar slinger, Eddy Clearwater to be a band member. "Wally, the manager was very nice. After a month or two he saw how much the kids really loved me and how well I was accepted. He told me, Eddy go ahead and socialize with the crowd. I did and for the rest of the year I played and then hung out with the band and the crowd instead of going in the back waiting for my turn to perform. I think about that today on Dr. Martin Luther King Day. We fought for justice and acceptance. Now I perform all over the world to thousands of fans. We have come a long way and I am happy to be back playing in Round Lake where I once could not be a part of the scene," says Eddy.

Come see me play at The State Theater, Budweiser Blues Series in Kalamazoo, Michigan on March 14th! Click for info & tickets

Between his slashing left-handed guitar work, his room-filling vocals, his self-defined "rock-a-blues" style (a forceful mix of blues, rock, rockabilly, country and gospel), his boundless energy and even his signature Indian headdress, Clearwater is among the very finest practitioners of the West Side blues working today.
